6th straight Gold Medals and 5 Ontario Volleyball Gold Medals. The 18U Team had a very successful tournament winning all their matches meeting up with the Ottawa Mavericks in the finals.The 18U Team will be preparing for the Ontario Volleyball Provincial Championships April 18,19 and 20th.
Volleyball player hopes to spike competition Sam Schachter is playing lots of volleyball these days.For the 18-year-old Richmond Hill resident, it’s a game he loves to play.Not just the traditional indoor game, for which the six-foot, five-inch Schachter plays the left side/power position. During the summer, he can be found on the sandy beaches playing the outdoor two-man game as well. These days, the Grade 12 Westmount Secondary School student has made some big serves along with some digs and spikes indoors with the Toronto Volleyball Boys Club. (read more)
18U Boys Team had another great performance competing in the 2008 18U Boys Challenge Cup in Kitchener Ontario. It was 5 straight wins to the Gold Medal Match playing the MAC 18U Team , defeating the MAC team 26-24 and 25-23. This was the 18U Boys Team's 5th Straight Gold Medal performance and an overall record of 51 wins and only 3 loses for this year.
